KONEKO is a project started on the verge of the new millennium. The music could be described as a frenzied mix of experimental rock, punk and soul; blended with avant gaurde electronic influences. The music blends exuberant, as well as crooning harmonies with haute quality emotional, yet danceable rock, to create retro-futuristic adventure of sorts. Like a 5th dimensional shamanic entity bleeding through to excite and possibly warn of storms to come; The lyrical subjects explore intimately emotional, political, and dreamlike landscapes [a winkle in time of sorts, between the turn of the century...night crawling the french quarter, and a sundry array of future revolutions and fairy tales] while de-constructing and critiquing modern culture. All delivered in an artistic yet accessible package.The project was started when he began recording songs on his 4 track at the tender age of 13. In Jan 2003, he released an EP off of west coast indie label Banazan Records. Between 2002-2005, Koneko performed within the New York club scene, sneaking in underage and bumping elbows..After a bit of a haitus, Koneko released Volume 1 of the two part album series "Tablets"
