Kochlea is the instrumental trio from Brno (Czech Republic) playing since 2010. The composition of the bass guitar, saxophone/flute/theremin and percussion/Hohner Pianet-T style oscillates between post-rock, nu-jazz and drum'n'bass. Using loopers, delays and multi-effects we create distinctive music based on significant bass-riffs that blend in with the lines of saxophone loops and inventive percussion.

The word "kochlea" or "cochlea" is the anatomy term for the spiral-shaped cavity in the bony labyrinth of the auditory portion of inner ear. The name is derived from the Latin for "snail shell".
