Jayden Yen Dumont (born February 24, 2006), professionally known as jaydes (formerly evvls), is an American singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter from Pompano Beach, Florida.

jaydes gained popularity through social media platform TikTok, generally being credited as one of the artists popularising the 'pluggnb' subgenre. Notable early releases include !? (2021), romanticism (2022), heartpacing (2022) and sativa (2022).

In 2023, after solidifying himself in the underground rap scene, jaydes created his side-project mandy. The music on the mandy account was very different from jaydes' usual sound, often featuring stripped-down acoustic tracks or even piano songs.
On August 29, 2023, jaydes released his debut album, ghetto cupid, under 10K Projects. The album mostly contains plugg and alternative trap , but also features indie and shoegaze. The most streamed song is the shoegaze song rose , while the second most-streamed song, the indie song misery, features an extensive intro (from "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy) referencing his side project mandy.

In 2024, jaydes released three notable projects. The first one, the EP bipolar, mixed singles from mandy along with new music. It was released on May 8, 2024. The EP further pushed jaydes' indie sound, only containing one rap song - xaviersobased-produced piXXa.
On July 19, 2024, jaydes released his sophomore album, Count Up Dracula. The album marked the complete change from his pluggnb-style music to punk rock music. The album contains notable indie song hysteric, which went viral on TikTok, further establishing jaydes in the up-and-coming indie scene.
On October 22, 2024, indie artist wifiskeleton released his popular album suburban daredevil, which features jaydes on the third song called "i keep calling .... jaydes had already collaborated with wifiskeleton multiple times under his mandy persona, but this marked the first official collaborated credited to 'wifiskeleton & jaydes'.
On October 31, 2024, jaydes released his EP Panic, continuing the punk rock and indie sound as well as dabbling in grunge and metal.

In 2025, very little music was released due to jaydes spending the majority of the year in and out of rehabilitation centers as well as battling serious legal issues.
jaydes dropped the EP Whatever under alias 'Nunya' while on the run on January 6, 2025.

In 2026, after being released on probation, jaydes started working on music again, this time officially adopting the alias "Yen", which had been used loosely throughout his career earlier.
On January 23, 2026, jaydes released his third album, 'YEN', on the Yen account. Around this time he started doing punk shows, having indie artist Kid Moon open for him at the first one.
