Jacques Berrocal is an avant-garde musician, composer & a master trumpeter active during the 70s and the Godfather of French Underground.
Berrocal's Artaudian theatre style, combines the excesses of punk and coldwave to a 1968 Situationist perspective. His complex style is layered with savage improvisations and interspersed sounds swerving on a structured stratosphere. His field recordings include abusing an arsenal of instruments including saw blades, pistols, bones, shower attachment and even gingerbread, and of course Berrocal's vocals baring a compelling sense of urgency.
In his last decades he did live audio visual exhibitions and studio collaborations with Telectu, David Tibet, Nurse With Wound, Andrew Liles, and other avant-garde artists in the scene.
