Hatemonolith

HATEMONOLITH is an alias of nausearemedy dot bandcamp dot com, a haven for bad noise. HATEMONOLITH's album "Alone on a Friday Night" was constructed from pieces of sound she found on her computer and recorded on a borrowed unplugged guitar in a dorm room basement in the space of a night. she hopes to pioneer a new genre and call it "self-pity".
HATEMONOLITH's second release, "Alone on a Saturday Morning," while in title a sequel to "Friday Night," is a four-track EP that displays a cohesiveness not found on her previous album. The reviews say, "These are some sad noises," and they are correct. HATEMONOLITH employs more diversity in the garageband presets she uses, and takes vocal performance to new territory with her garbled mumbling and high-pitched whines.
The third release, "Litany of Self-Hatred", solidifies the genre of "lo-effort," having mostly been constructed in the space of a single afternoon. Lo-effort means that you don't have to worry about production quality artistic worth. For the listener, it means that there's no obligation to listen to any song or album all the way through. In fact, there's no obligation to listen to the music at all.
