
Harald Lesch (born July 20th 1960 in Gießen) is a German physicist, astronomer, philosopher, writer, TV host and professor of physics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich.
Lesch is famous for his appearances on TV, especially the series "alpha-Centauri", "Lesch & Co", "Denker des Abendlandes" (German for 'Thinkers of the occident') and "Alpha bis Omega" (German for 'From Alpha to Omega'), all hosted by him. Apart from that, he hosted several other, shorter serial programs. His typical routine consists only of a 15-minute-lecture or a talk with one dialogue partner at most. In this manner, Harald Lesch attempts to communicate complex physical or philosophical issues to his audience.
