Artist Detailed Info: Gorons

Gorons are an alternative/electronic band who are located in Bridgnorth, England. The band consists of two members, James Stanley (Synth, Guitar, Programming & Vocals) and Luke Best aka "alphonz1" on lastfm (Synth, Bass Guitar, Mixing, Drum Machines & Vocals).

The two have only known each other for the past 2 years and have been in various bands, for the past 7 years, playing bass and guitar respectively. Both have done solo music in between and eventually met in Luke's former band "The Pinstripes,"where James was drafted in to play lead guitar in mid 2007. They both left the band in summer 2008, because of musical differences. After this they decided to write their own material. They began with the odd jamming session and eventually decided in mid 2008 to form Gorons where they decided to adopt a more electronic style opposed to their earlier rock style. This was something they both agreed on shortly after leaving "The Ratigans."

They are set to release an EP but so far has been put on hold, due commitments with other musical projects. So far they have released several demo tracks which are still in their rough stage but will feature on their upcoming EP entitled "Ideas Protruding Through a Head Shaped Hole." Further songs are currently being written.

Their influences are Radiohead, DJ Shadow, Muse ,The Prodigy, Billy Corgan, Thom Yorke, Paper Route innerpartysystem and Infected Mushroom. Just to name a few.
