Artist Detailed Info: Gorlinsky

Vladimir Gorlinsky was born in 1984 in Moscow. Vladimir began to study classical guitar performance in 1991. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory (composition under supervision of V.G.Tarnopolsky) and from 2008 he is postgraduate. From now on he starts studying principles of sound production, fingering and performing on diverse musical instruments playing flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, banjo, shakuhachi, gu-zheng, erhu, didjeridoo and so on. Since 2005 Vladimir produces himself acoustic pieces, executing all parts on available instruments.

Vladimir Gorlinsky's compositions have been performed at the festivals of new music in Russia and aboard like "The Moscow autumn", "X Moscow forum", "World Music Days 2007" (Hong-Kong), "Pythian games 2008" (St.-Petersburg). His pieces were played by many of well-known musicians and orchestras such as trumpeter Marko Blaauw (Netherlands), Ensemble "Ereprijs" (Apeldoorn, Netherlands), Ensemble "Studio for New Music" (Moscow, Russia), Ensemble "KlangNetz" (Berlin, Germany), "eNsemble" (St.-Petersburg, Russia). In May 2007 in Holland (in 5 cities) a collective opera "Boxing Pushkin" had its premier with music of Vladimir Gorlinsky. 

The piece "To Origins" Vladimir Gorlinsky's has won the First prize at the A.Schnittke International Competition of Young Composers (2002), "Beiklang" - Second prize at IV Jurgenson International Young Comosers Competition (2007). The piece "Ultimate granular pradise" was awarded the Audience's prize at the festival "Pythian games" in St. Peterburg (2008). Also his piece "UGP" was marked as recommended work in two category at "ROSTRUM" (2008) and was broadcast by world radio stations.
