Both memebers are renown illustrators and they met a decade ago in a shared studio in Copenhagen.
A concert by 18th Dye made them decide to form a band, and in the early 00's they released two cd's on morningside records, among the first on the label.
And here's the explanantion why it took 7 years to make the 3rd record:
Those long years where spent plowing deeper and deeper into the cul de sac of what was known as post rock back in the day, and as GV saw that they had finally created a sleep inducing album of guitarnoodling and blips they decided to do the only right thing - ditch the fucker, and go back in the studio.
Here they realized that the only thing they could relate to mutually and respectively was the sounds of their formative years - yes, Metallica, zz top and the rolling stones. In other words, They could no longer deny all they wanted to do was play rockmusic.
The distortion pedals where dusted off, the drum set pulled out from the closet, and in what is for them a furious tempo they banged out "Knives in the senate" in less than a year. And not that the new record sounds anything like the above mentioned, it is actually closer in spirit to something like garage or even punk rock.
