Force Four

Force Four were a short-lived beat band from the United Kingdom, active in 1967. They only recorded some demos, then became Rainbow Ffolly.

While studying at High Wycombe College of Technology and Art, brother John Dunsterville (lead guitar) and Richard Dunsterville (rhythm guitar) formed the beat group Force Four, adding fellow student Stuart Osborn on drums and bassist Alan Thomas. When they turned professional Thomas left and was replaced by Roger Newall in March 1967. The band decided to record demos of John Dunsterville's songs at the Jackson Recording Studio in Rickmansworth, United Kingdom, notably 'Come On Go' and 'Sun Sing'. The Jackson brothers who ran the studio were impressed, asked for more and arranged for the band to be signed to Parlophone, which happend under their new name, Rainbow Ffolly.
