
FINAL MIX, is a four man vocal group from the Bronx, NY, the members of the group are Lead singer , Tenor & baritone, and groups founder, James B Sessoms he was born in Ahoskie, N.C grow up singing in the church and his school glee clubs, both Jr. high and High, he helped form his first singing group " The Designers", after high school the group moved to New York city, having any conections, they picked up a telephone book and found a record producer, as luck would have it, they found one, they met him on the corner of 57th street and Broadway, " called the great white way" as it was called at the time, they recorded their first record for The Date Record Label one of the CBS Group of labels, like most artist of the time their first record went no were, the group then signed with Dynamo Records, like the first , if too went no were, he left the group of his youth and joined anoth group " Shock" they met singer,songwriter , Ronald McCoy of The Topics,( Brothers III Records) McCoy brought them to his producer manager and founder of Sirocco Records, Brothers II Records and Br'roma Records were McCoy co-produced one of his songs " Why Should I Forgive You " as the record begin to take off, as luck would have it the group broke up, that was in 1970's, in he 80's he moved over to the Br'roma side of the label with new group NYC, with two new members Kevin Price and Tony Robinson, they recorded as "The Gentleman From New York City " they were joined by Frank Frier on Br'roma they recorded "Don't Rush Me Now"," Da Ja Vu" and " You' re My Lady", teh group then moved on and signed with Friendship Records, with the passing of Tony Robinson, James and Kevin moved on!
Kevin Wesley Price, Lead & Tenor, was born under the sign of pisces a/k/a the fish in 1971, he helped form his first group while in high school " The Outcast" with other class mates, he remained with the "Outcast" from 1971 to 1974 he joined his second group " Champiagn" they stayed with them from 1974 to 1978, Kevin, then sang back ground for a number of other artist, a friend asked hime to join another group "The Bankers" like so many other groups of the time members came and went, in the 1980's the group was reformed, with the late Tony Robinson & James B Sessoms, the name of the group was changed to NYC, made their first recording for Br'roma Records were with producer Bruce Clarke, they recored " Don't Rush Me Now " and " Da Ja Vu" when they added a fourth member they were renamed the Gentleman From New York City, they recorded " You're my lady" which got the group the number one up and comming rating from Bill Board, Frank Frier, left the group and was replaced by Terry Bellary, the group of four remained until the passing of Tony, he was replaced with Staurt Brown, in 2008 the group started a project " Something For Everyone" while working on the project, the group turned to arranger Carl T Smith, and producer Bruce Clarke, to help complete the project, the sound of the group now named "Final Mix" was full and strong, they needed to add a fourth voice to make it sound sweet, that voice was arranger Carl T. Smith.
Stuart Brown, Lead, Tenor & Baritone, was born in Charleston, S.C., Moved to New York, in 1960, made the boogie down Bronx, his home in 1965, grow up as a Baptist, singing gospel with his family, singing R & B in high school with a group named " TheComposed Majestics" later he tried his hand at promoting R & B shows and dances, he then started as an opening act, for such as Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, The Chi lites, Ray Goodman & Brown, The Manhattans, The Delfonics, Colonel Abrams & GQ., he went back to singing Gospel with his family group at The Convent Ave. Baptist Church, were he also sang in the male choir, he met James Sessoms and Kevin Price, who needed a replcement for the group due to the passing of long time member Tony Robinson, they Collectively had the same dream, which was to record an album, together they came to Br'roma Records and producer Bruce Clarke to work out the project, as Carl T Smith, joined the group to make the full sweet sound, that makes up " FINAL MIX".
Carl T Smith, Lead, Tenor & Baritone, was born and raised in " The Bronx " New York, with both parents playing piano he was inspired at an early age watching his father rehearse with his band. Through junior High his interest magnified tremendously as Carl, to play many different instruments and had a saxophone solo in his school's concert. living in a neighborhood retiled withtalent Carl, began jamming with friends, gigging and song writting. He signed with Clarence Music, were he and his partner, Kevin Fulton began playing, arranging and producing music for the company, while playing with a long list of artist, groups and on major tours his record " Come Back Lover" was released on Clarence Music.\, Carl launched CTS Productions, PlayDees Records and "Its My Turn Publishers hoping to give un-discovered talent a chance at fulfilling their dreams, his Twelve Inch " Baby Be Mine" and cassette/CD " Smooth Romance" as well as Jenee Evens, pursae and Nikkiyah Morgan CDs are released on PlayDees Records can be found online, Carl T, has worked with Bobby Brown, New Edition, Whistle, Diane Baily, Right Combination, Questar, Robert Harrison, Candy Bowman, Expansion, IRT Express, Dave Brooks, Butch and The Monsters From The Bronx and the list goes on. Though quite serious about everything he coes Carl, loves to have fun performing, live up to his nickname " The Smooth 1, his smooth vocals, musical talents and experience makes him a perfect fit to complete " Final Mix "
