Artist Detailed Info: Faia

Faia (NO) was born in the small town Kristiansund on the northwest coast in Norway. She started playing records in 2009 after many years on the dancefloor in Trondheims and Oslos clubscene.

She’s frequently been playing in several of Norways biggest cities, and plays at Oslo-clubs such as The Villa, Fugazi/Seeds, Fisk og Vilt, Turkish Delight, The Sense, Skansen, Cafe Kaos, and Gudruns to mention a few. Faia is often spotted behind the decks at outdoor events and big underground-events in Oslo, and has been behind the mixer in London (UK), Gothenburg (SE), Strömstad (SE), Manchester (UK), Wetzlar (DE), Malága (ES), Svalbard and in Koh Phangan Thailand. In february 2015 she played at the Berlin club Rummels Bucht.

Faia is the founder and resident DJ at the clubnights Femmes Fatales in Oslo wich has a 5 year anniversary this summer (2015), and she has participated at festivals such as Sommerøya Elektronika Festival, Sehr Schøn, Safari (SE) and GrooveYard.

It’s mainly Minimal Tech, Tech House and Techno that’s closest to her heart, but she also plays a lot of Deep House, Deep Tech and Minimal House too, and likes to mix genres.
