Artist Detailed Info: Evan Buckpitt

Evan Murray Buckpitt is a renowned, charismatic and prolific songwriter, with a style ranging from the comic through the romantic and tragic to the very dramatic.

He has fronted a number of projects including Romeo on Demand, Falling Short and Strong Like Sam and is currently performing as a solo artist after getting sick of constantly replacing Bass players.

Evan grew up in Canberra and was famously home schooled, which lead to him spending 5 hours a day practicing guitar and writing songs, and several more hours reading. As a consequence, he is a powerful and literate poet and lyricist and an engaging and emotive songwriter/guitarist.

Evan now lives in Newcastle, Australia and works with a community music development program.
