
eqlipsE is a Japanese visual kei rock based in Vancouver, Canada. They formed in 2003 under the name eclipse later changing it to eqlipsE. Although the band is based in Canada, their lyrics contain both Japanese and English. All members have been influenced by Visual-kei, jrock, and western rock and metal. The final member lineup include ジン (JIN) on vocals, Cham on guitar, カイ (kAi) on guitar, and Saya on drums.
Climax of their activities include the release of their first and only maxi single, "reconnaissance" on 2006.06.06. Two months later, they were one of two headlined musical guest at Anime Evolution 2006, Vancouver's only anime convention, where the main headline was a band from Avex. Almost 100 people lined up for the autograph session after the show, and about 50 people attended the Q&A session the following day. Over 50 copies of their single was also sold that weekend.
International recognition:
In total, over 150 copies of the CD were sold worldwide to various countries such as Canada, US, Germany, UK, France, Hong Kong, Korea, Brazil, etc. The CD still receive worldwide orders even now. (http://members.shaw.ca/jinxyz527/e-shop.html). eqlipsE was also recognized by the visual-kei scene in Japan, being listed on popular visual-kei information Japanese website, Visunavi, as well as vkdb. They were also invited to be included in a Japanese visual-kei magazine, h'evn,'s 2006 visual-kei band catalogue.
eqlipsE officially disbanded on January 1st, 2007.

JIN has also started a solo cover project on YouTube under the username "jinxyz527". The project focuses on various jrock covers, mostly visual-kei songs, and anime songs (some are done by VK bands).
