Multiple artists use the name Environments.

1. Environments is a Bucharest (Romania) based experimental ensemble and is primarily Stefan Panea's project.
All of the tracks are based around his compositions which are further reconstructed, distorted through guitar amps and re-recorded live with help from Alex "Para" Ghita on the drums and Marius Costache on effects and noise shaping.
The project is already on its second release, both albums keeping a free way of working without any constraint usually associated with classical bands and without any interest in structures involving verses, refrains and choruses.
The shape of the sound is given by the attempt of recreating the atmosphere and the vibe from the creation of the material itself and the tracks are inspired by childhood memories, moments, books and places far away from the crowded Bucharest.
Both albums are recorded at Next Dog Studio, a studio placed 40 km outside Bucharest in a quiet area next to the Mostiştea river.

2. Environments is a series of recordings created by producer and sound recordist Irv Teibel (1938–2010) for Syntonic Research Inc. between 1969 and 1979. The series consists of recordings of natural sounds such as a seashore with crashing waves or a thunderstorm with falling rain, without musical accompaniment. The series helped ignite a worldwide interest in field recordings which resulted in many imitations being released throughout the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s both with, and without, music (i.e.: Moods, Solitudes, Echoes of Nature, Nature Recordings, Gentle Persuasion: The Sounds of Nature, The Sounds of Nature (by Joe Baker), Magic Moods, etc.).
