Artist Detailed Info: Echophone

The early days of the year 2000 witnessed the formation of the Vancouver band Echophone. Emerging from various local acts, the band quickly fused and created a repertoire of music that provides a dynamic flowing foundation for sweeping and captivating melodies. With the advent of these songs and drawing from previous performance experience, Echophone quickly cultivated an alluring live show that resonated with simmering intensity. The band cut three tracks in July 2000 at Turtle Recording Studios. The demo captures the band’s diversity and reflects powerful songwriting and musicality. After Recording a full length album the band broke up, essentially because of a rift between the vocalist and the 3 other members.

The vocalist has pursued a successful academic career and does not appear to be significantly involved in music. The other 3 of us continue to jam and casually write music
