Artist Detailed Info: Easy Please

Easy Please are a Melbourne-based four-piece shaking up a raunchy rock/pop cocktail with a dash of soul. The addictive concoction contains hints of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gossip and Betty Davis.

Liz, Ben, Scott and Nyk hooked up in 2009. They come from all over Melbourne to jam out new songs every weekend. Liz is an all-out vocal dynamo with a huge voice that belies her petite stature. Ben is an untameable creative force, belting out bass lines with restless energy. Scott’s thunderous drums excite the ears with a cavalcade of heart-stopping beats. Nyk revels in syncopated guitar riffage and caterwauling solos that compel you to “wah-wah” along like a demented alley cat.

The band subscribed to 3RRR and won a CD mastering prize, which gave rise to their home recorded Feedback Dancer EP. A string of gigs around Melbourne ensued before they bunkered down to begin work on a follow-up.

Easy Please are currently recording a cache of new songs with producer/engineer Tim Bates (28 Days, Trophy Knife) at Woodstock Studios, which they’re dying to release with more gigs in the coming months.
