Dxts is a young rapper/writer/producer from Queens, N.Y. who made it his mission to explore the hidden facets of music, particularly the hip hop genre. His artistic name stems from the last letter of his first name (D), the first letter of his first name (O), and the first and last letters of his last name (T&S), but as you may notice, Dxts has a signature censorship of vowels as suggested by one of his songs entitled “fxck thxt”. He was introduced to hip hop at age 11 listening to acts like Eminem and Slick Rick. As a result, Dxts began to rap in the same year, and convinced of his musical aptitudes and gifted ear, his parents bought him his first music production equipment for his 14th birthday. Without further ado, aware of the high costs of professional instrumentals, Dxts began to produce his own music. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s and Takashi Murakami’s approaches towards art and alternative chill-wave and post-dubstep sounds, Dxts is determined and dedicated to make his own brand of hip hop music and invent new perceptions of the art as the aforementioned personalities have done to contemporary art. Ralph Lauren is identified as a brand by its design, attitude and uniqueness, so is Dxts.
