Artist Detailed Info: Dropshock

Born in Siberia, Russia in 1987. Moved to South Africa at the age of 5. Discovered electronic music production at age 13 and began to create Hip - Hop. Across the next few years Denis played with D&B, Breaks, Dub, Trip Hop and other weird undefinable genres. He discovered Psychedelic Trance culture at age 17 and began writing the music exclusively for the next couple of years. In 2009 Dropshock set out to find his roots and produce an album of trip hop, hip hop and general electronic fusions. 2010 he plans to release his debut album entitled "Mood Music" in the general Electronic genre, and also a Psychedelic trance album entitled "The DATABass".

His style is very modern, favoring mainly glitchy digital sounds as opposed to recordings or live instrument emulations. His tracks take on many tones, although a mischievous and often dark sound seems to be characteristic. Surprisingly, the upcomming album "Mood Music" is far more light hearted. Denis explains it as a look at music and it's limiting genre divisions.
