Electronic Artist from the Bay Area heavily inspired by Porter Robinson, Virtual Self, some rando breakore peeps, and Singularity.

Bay Area-based DJ/producer Damian "dr1ft" Perez initially started off his passion for electronic music as a DJ at the age of 13. A year later he began to experiment with sounds through GarageBand and soon found himself making music in a similar style to Future bass (although none of those tracks were ever to be released). 2020 would be the year he would release his first single "Dispear" on his Soundcloud, although in a style more similar to that of Porter Robinson. Later that year dr1ft would release his first EP "Unclear" which solidified his mid-tempo and heavily arpeggiated style of electronic music. In 2021 dr1ft released his single, "Ronin-Kun", which was his first dive into the genre of breakcore. The overall positive feedback from listeners of the track as well as him getting involved with artists more into the breakcore scene is what sparked dr1ft to compose an EP based on the genre - "Sound Scape of Insomnia".
