Artist Detailed Info: Down A Third

Growing up in rural Northern Vermont, rapper/producer Levitron (Aaron Levison) and producer DJEJ (Erik Jefferis) started their music careers with a heavy focus on jazz, forming the group Latch-Key along with guitarist Aram Bingham. The group performed throughout the Burlington, VT area before losing their guitarist to Argentina (and then Canada). With influence from "the Big Homie Steve," the group turned their attention to jazz inspired hip-hop. DJEJ's skills on the drums and keys allowed him to create funky, sensual beats; the perfect backdrop for Levitron's passionate flow.

Now located in Burlington, VT, the group is set to release it's self-titled album in 2010 which is set to include tracks featuring talented jazz vocalist Hillary Capps, and of course beats produced by both DJEJ and Levitron.
