Artist Detailed Info: Dies

There are two artists under the name Dies.

(1) ｄｉｅＳ is a two-piece Japanese rock band that has been enjoying moderate success in the underground of the visual kei scene since around 2005. Their music is generally uptempo and clearly reminiscent of one of their major influences -- BUCK-TICK. Some other notable influences are BOØWY, X JAPAN, LUNA SEA, David Bowie, & Depeche Mode. Despite being a duo, they have always performed as a full band and have maintained a (mostly) consistent support lineup of visual and non-visual musicians since their formation. As of 2018, bassist Sakakura Ryo has retired, and dieS is now considered an Arase Dai solo project.
Vo. 荒瀬 大 (2005~) : ＬＡＮＤＳＣＡＰＥ(on Gt.) → dieS → 荒瀬大(solo) → YokodieS
Ba. 坂倉 亮 (2005-2017.12.30) : ＡＣｉＤ(roadie) → Secil Rhodes(on Gt.) → ＬＡＮＤＳＣＡＰＥ → dieS → (Retired)

(2) Joshua “Dies” Porter (born June 12, 1983) is an American singer, songwriter, musician and author. He is widely known as the vocalist and songwriter for the band Showbread. His debut novel The Spinal Cord Perception which was released December, 2006, features a dark, postmodern style similar to Chuck Palahniuk, Bret Easton Ellis, and other Generation X novelists.
