Deber (pronounced dǝbr) is an archaic Slovenian word for a narrow valley. Reflective of the landscape in which these songs were born, the word also conveys.

Biography:

“Midsummer” includes four songs that were written over the course of eight months amidst the trees and mountains of northwestern Slovenia. Nostalgic and painfully honest, the songs on “Midsummer” depict inner turmoil in it’s purest form. Drawing influence from a broad musical and literary spectrum, the debut explores different sounds and textures, while maintaining a familiar form. Tortured vocals intertwine with post-everything melody, exploring sonic landscapes of love and life.
