There are more than one band called Dead Inside:
1) A dark hardcore band from London formed in 1999
2) A metalcore band from LA, formed in 2018 by former members of A Static Lullaby and Senses Fail
3) A Belgian black metal band

1) A DIY, vociferous, dark hardcore band from London. Dead Inside was originally formed in October 1999 by ex-Annalise/Capstan guitarist Paul Symes, bass guitarist Kay Ishikawa from Comet Gain, guitarist Larry Hibbitt and ex-Wordbug/Capstan drummer Nigel Coleman. After a few rehearsals a singer was found in Bloody Kev, who had been one of two vocalists in Nottingham's hardcore legends Hard To Swallow, the band that was the inspiration for Iron Monkey and Raging Speedhorn among others. Bloody Kev's screaming vocals didn't go down too well with Larry and it was clear the other band members were heading in a different direction musically to where Larry wanted to go. Larry left early in 2000 to join Hundred Reasons and was quickly replaced by former Broccoli bass guitarist and Appleorchard/Shonben guitarist and vocalist Scott Stewart.

The sole intention of the band at that point, February 2000, was to write and play music influenced by early-90's hardcore bands such as Born Against and Assfactor 4 mixed with the melody of 80's punk rock bands like Dag Nasty, and to have as much fun as possible doing it. There was and still remains a feeling in the band that modern punk rock bands are missing the unexplainable vital spark that gave those bands something really special. Perhaps it was just nostalgia but Dead Inside had to find that out for themselves.

Early shows with At The Drive-In (April 2000) and Burning Airlines (May 2000) brought in enough people to give the band a great opportunity to be heard by more people than most bands get in their first year, let alone their first few shows. With the fact that everyone in the band already had a wealth of experience playing shows all over the UK, they felt from the start that they would be able to pick and choose the shows they really wanted to play.

In Southampton at their first UK all-day underground punk festival of many, Pete Osmond from the mail-order company Land Of Treason asked if they would like to put out a single on his own label, Land of Treason Records. With most of the members of the band having known Pete for years they agreed and the first single eventually came out at the end of 2000 (after the necessary first single teething troubles) soon followed by a split single with Italy's One Fine Day on Household Name Records (Capdown, Canvas, Hard To Swallow, etc.).

By the end of 2001 the band played their first 30 shows, and with a couple of great reviews in Kerrang!, an interview in Fracture fanzine, and plays on the John Peel show on Radio One, the time seems right for the release of the debut album, "no.4", on Firefly Recordings. The 14-track album was recorded at Zed One Studios by John Hannon (Understand, Hundred Reasons) during 4 days in September 2001, and with Jason Farrell (Fugazi, At The Drive-In) taking care of the artwork.

After a successful tour of Japan in the Summer of 2002, Dead Inside called it quits whilst they were ahead.

2)Dead Inside, a metalcore band hailing from Los Angeles, CA, was formed in 2018. Founders Joe Brown (vocals, A STATIC LULLABY) & Dave Miller (guitar, ex-SENSES FAIL) teamed up with multi-talented producer, programmer, and songwriter Derek Hung to create a relentless and cutthroat heavy music project - a far cry from their post-hardcore origins. Dead Inside's debut EP, Now Fear Begins, produced, mixed, and mastered by Platinum selling producer Chris Collier (WINDS OF PLAGUE, PRONG.
KORN, WHITE SNAKE, LITA FORD), was released on We Are Triumphant Records (distributed by Victory Records/Sony (RED)) to critical acclaim in June 2019.

Pulling influences from metalcore, deathcore, grindcore.
metal, and djent (in the vein of AS I LAY DYING, WAGE WAR, PERIPHERY, LAMB OF GOD, and EVERY TIME I DIE), Now Fear Begins proved to be a force to be reckoned with. Dead Inside is currently in the studio recording a follow-up EP and taking over the local Southern California metal scene in support of heavy metal giants such as BORN OF OSIRIS. Dead Inside's ferocious assault of melody and dynamic aggressive vocals combined with technical instrumentals will continue to captivate heavy music fans across the world.

3) A Belgian black metal band who made two demo's: Dead Inside (2007) and Lunatic (2007), and have released one full-length album: the self-titled "Dead Inside" (2007). They call their style “Pounding Black-‘n-Roll to the core”.
