Dan Johnson Sears is a Petoskey-based musician who manages to avoid definition. Between the ambient soundscapes and airy chords, there is an undeniable presence of a spiritual connection to music. Matter as we know it is nothing more than vibrating particles, though they are working together to create something much greater. Music (and all audible sounds) are also vibrations, and the mastery of the stringed instrument can be used to bring all of these things together in one form.

Born in Florida, though raised in Michigan, Dan Johnson picked up guitar at the age of 14. Originally he used to play death metal, but eventually adapted his musical taste and in turn so did his music.
