Biography:
Cold Tragedy was formed in November 2005 by Marco Arndt. It was first held as a Solo-Project after leaving his former band. In Summer 2006 a first full-length demo was recording with the help of Guitarist Sebastian Geschka who only recorded a few parts on the CD. After that Cold Tragedy was searching for a solid line up. In 2007 a gig was played at the Walpurgis Metal Days in Hauzenberg and afterwards a EP was recorded. But with the sound being not satisfying and a big argument with the owners of the studio the material was never mixed or mastered. The recording also was a huge financial loss for Arndt and Sladek who had meanwhile joined as a guitarist because they were the only members paying for the recording. From there the member changes just went on. Geschka was asked to leave due to his unreliability. With only Arndt and Sladek left another full-lenght demo was recorded but Sladek left in 2008 because he was moving to Munich and not able to go on. In 2008 Toni Buchmüller (drums), Maik Hollstein (vocals) and Andreas Käser (bass) joined and in early 2009 Dominik Kreilinger was asked to handle guitar duties. And from there it was just plain sailing everything went out pretty good for the band. So after 4 years of wasting an enormous amount of musicians and potential Cold Tragedy finally has a solid line-up and is ready to climb the stages.
