With a higlhy stylized take on classic soul and bedroom pop, Chenayder merges quirky lo-fi pop, smoky balladry, and vintage pop and R&B into her idiosyncratic indie soul songs. The singer, songwriter, and producer of Haitian-American descent generated millions of streams with her breakthrough single, 2022's "Fall", which featured mid-century-stile backing singers, strings, and vibraphone among its anachronous design. Chenayder's debut EP, "Blue Oblivion", continued in ambitious yet intimate fashion in 2023, as did 2024's "Maybe in Another Life", her debut album featuring the single "Colors", a collaboration with MAVI. This 2026, with the sophomore "Outdated", she turns a rough three years into forthright songs about unanswered letters, overdue apologies, and loving her own solitude.
