Artist Detailed Info: Chatko

Chatko’s real name is Matko Čaja and he is one of the initiators of a new generation of Croatian drum&bass DJs. Zagreb audience mostly knows him for the extremely rhythmic and polished mixture of all kinds of breakbeat, but also for his eccentric stage performances.

He started deejaying, promoting and organizing club nights at KSET club in Zagreb. Soon, he became a member and co-founder of the popular Zagreb collective JabbaTon, and a few years later, a member of the cult Bass Invaders collective. During 2008 and 2009 he worked within the Beat Busters collective, and after the Beat Busters series ended he turned to a new project entitled REWIND, with the intention of revitalizing the waning drum&bass scene in Zagreb.

Some of the musicians he has collaborated or shared the deck with are Marcus Intalex, Jenna G, Kabuki, Phace, ASC, Boj Lucki, Friction, Makoto, Deeizm, Cyantific, Noisia, Alix Perez, Freestylers, John B, Misanthrop, L-Vis 1990, Total Science, etc.
