Artist Detailed Info: Byatis

Byatis was a French brutal death metal band from Hesdin-l'Abbé, Hauts-de-France. Their name originates from the Lovecraftian pantheon, Byatis being one of the gods of divination, a gigantic and grotesque multicolored toad with a single eye, crab-like claws and a beard of tentacles. Forming in 1997, the band's first release was a two-song demo tape in 2001. Later that year they released a four-song demo "Race of Cain" on CD. Byatis began recording their debut full-length album "In Dark Abysses of Memory" in 2002, released in '03 and distributed by Skull Fucked Productions. The band split up some time after.
