Bruce Nasmith

Bruce Nasmith is primarily a rock, blues guitarist and singer who has also pursued disciplined studies in classical music. He has developed his skills on keyboards and violin but above all as a writer, composer and arranger.

After a few years of performing rock gigs in his teens Bruce took a time out to study piano, classical organ, classical guitar, theory and composition. Studies with the Royal Canadian College of Organists led to an A.R.C.C.O. diploma and the Healey Willan Scholarship and Rollinson Prize.

While working in Australia for the West Australian Conservatorium of Music as a Lecturer in Music Bruce completed a Licentiate diploma in 20th century composition from the Australian Music Examinations Board. The same year he completed an Associate Diploma in classical guitar and a Licentiate Diploma in classical organ performance both with the Austalia-New Zealand Cultural Arts Ltd.
