Artist Detailed Info: Arbaa

ArbaA is a French band with varied influences (jazz, novo-dub, rock), coupling the minimalism of Steve Reich to the complex polyrhythms of Steve Coleman, modeling a powerful and original groove dominated by trance. Aggressive and saturated, or more subtle and airy, the music of ArbaA invites the listener to the hypnotic ecstasy, imbricating the repetitive loops to the solos of saxophone and keyboard, slight digressions that underline the leitmotivs. ArbaA's new album, fuse, reveals an exploration of traditional music, Gnawa, Sufi, Indian, finding the essence of trance with modern sound and language.
