Artist Detailed Info: Applecake

Mix alternative/progressive rock, indie and pop with influences of John Frusciante, Incubus and Arctic Monkeys and you get Applecake, a dutch band who're rocking their hometown Leiden.

Applecake was formed when guitarist/backing vocalist Sjoerd Oppenheim asked his longlife friend and drummer Max Tilli for a band. Then the duo searched for a singer and a bass player and they found Vocalist/Guitarist Wouter Zweers and bass player Jesper Heshusius.

Starting 2009, Guitar player and founding member Sjoerd Oppenheim left the band.
At that point Jesper Heshusius traded his Bass in for Guitar, and Werner Erkelens joined the band
to play the bass. Werner now also does backing vocals.

Applecake's currently gigging all around the Netherlands and recording demo's in the studio.
