Old schoolmates Michael Jønsson, Cartridge Moog and Mogens Mills met in the Danish city of Holstebro during the early days of 2004 and formed Anamia.

The EP "He Never Left Tea Room" was released in the summer of 2005. The debut LP "An Extraordinary New Fitness" was released in September 2006.
