ALSO is a Los Angeles indie/alternative-electronic duo — vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Drew Roger Conrad and multi-instrumentalist Mark Zelen — who have been writing together for over two decades. The band makes music where the dreamy, the dark, and the cinematic collide: modern synth-pop woven with the emotional weight of 80s icons like Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, and New Order — shimmering nostalgia set against brooding synths and atmospheric textures.

Within these soundscapes, ALSO confronts difficult themes — depression, bullying, suicide — not to romanticize them, but to offer honesty and connection. "There's nothing artsy about depression or mysterious about suicide," Conrad says. "It's horrific. But it's real, and if our music helps someone feel less alone, then it matters."

True to their name, ALSO embraces duality: shadow and light, melancholy and hope, the intimate and the cinematic — a reminder that there are always multiple ways to look at any given situation.

ALSO has toured extensively throughout Europe and been featured on NPR's All Songs Considered.
