Afturmath is a leftfield techno producer based in Amsterdam. He is originally from Virginia Beach but better known through the techno and trance scenes in DC and NYC. Coming from a background of playing guitar, bass, and synths in punk and industrial bands in the late 90's and early 2000's, he has been producing "leftfield music for living room dancefloors" since 2001.

A life-long love affair for synthesizers drives his blend of heavily-layered analog bass with dubby, techno-esque percussion that ranges from minimal ambient to slamming techno to acid breaks, thanks in part to strong influences from electronic music pioneers such as Orbital, Leftfield, Fluke, The Orb, Timo Mass, John 00 Fleming, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin, Oliver Lieb, Scuba, Audion, and Underworld.
