Torment was originally formed by Simon Brand, Sean Holder and Kevin Haynes in the second half of 1985. Sean Holder knew Simon Brand as they both were band members of a Bristol-based Rockabilly band in 1984, under the Jumpin Jacks moniker and Sean and Kevin had been playing with the Joint Jumpers, when Kevin was introduced to Simon.
