Künstler Informationen: The Trif

The Band theTRIF, guitarist Achim Schif’s trio, always keen to experiment,
mixes the complexity of contemporary jazz with elements of funk, blues and rock, hip hop and modern R&B.
Their improvisatory handling of tempo, groove and sound permits bassist Johannes Nebel
and drummer Marvin Blamberg great scope for creative development.
The three jazz students met at Folkwang University of Essen and founded the band in spring 2011. In
