Shocking Pinks are a band formed by Nick Harte and based in Auckland, New Zealand, although an incarnation of the band had existed previously in Christchurch City, where Harte had lived previously.

Nick Harte has previously been in New Zealand bands such as CM Ensemble, The Incisions, Montessouri, Laudanum, Urinator, Solaa, The Brunettes and Pig Out.
