Plunger hailed from Maryland, USA. Inspired by bands such as Moss Icon, The Hated and Lungfish, the band got together in 1993 and recorded the first demo. In 1994, The band released a 7" and two split 7" with William Martyr 17 and Blank. They broke up around 1994/95. In 1997, a posthumous LP that collects two unreleased sessions from 1995 and 1996 was put out by Planaria Recordings. After the band broke up, singer Tom LoMacchio focused on his solo career.
