Die Band wurde 1979 auf dem Höhepunkt der New Wave of British Heavy Metal von Dave Hill und Malcolm Spooner gegründet. Das Line-Up wurde von Les Hunt (Gitarre), Paul Riley (Bass) und John Wright (Schlagzeug) vervollständigt.
