Yaotzin is originally formed by Theo van der Plas on vocals and Bas Polder (In Aetherium, the Drowned, Necrology) on drums in the year 1995. Joeri Pronk joined the band as a guitarist and his girlfriend played the bass guitar for a while but got replaced by Merijn Pronk after recording “the forrest” demo in 1995.The first performances on stage were at the local bar “Argus” in Alkmaar (April 1996).
