Whalephant was formed in 2009 in Moscow, Russia. Led by composer, synth player, and artistic director Nikolay Inshakov, Whalephant offer a modern, contemporary take on traditional prog styles. Working with a diverse sonic palette, Whalephant have cited such influences as Pink Floyd, Bjork, King Crimson, Rush, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Sigur Ros and Yes.
