In Prussian, Wejdas means God’s image. The project, initiated in 1994, has always been extremely close to the very roots of the Baltic scene. It was founded by now famous DONIS and Darius Gerulaitis from ENSEMBLE SP.

Donatas Bielkauskas and Darius Gerulaitis founded the project "Wejdas" in 1994 in Jurbarkas. It was probably the first project of dark ambient music in Lithuania, obviously and profoundly related to ethnic Baltic music, pagan world-view, and sacral space of Prussia. [read more...]
