Artist Info: Vilddas

Vilddas is an interesting mixture of traditional sami joik, world music and even some jazz and pop sounds. Band memebers are Annukka Hirvasvuopio (song), Mikko Vanhasalo (clarinet, saxophones, ney-flutes, keyboard and other machines), Ari Isotalo, Karo Sampela (drums, percussions), Risto Blomster (bass and percussion instruments) and Marko Jouste (ud-lute and guitar).

So far the band has released two cd's for the Wood Productions label: Vilddas (2000) and Háliidan (2003). [read more...]
