Artist Info: Valkir

The first music experience of Valentin Yakovlev from Saint-Petersburg was happened in 1991 when father brought him Casio synthesizer from foreign countries. It was bright green in colour and with a little frog in a front panel.

Since then lots of time have passed and Valkir’s music has passed a long way too: from downtempo and trip-hop to experimental ambient and click’n’cuts with IDM as we can here in this album. Guitar samples and voice recordings sets off the vastly broken rhythms and roughly cutted melodies. [read more...]
