Universal Funk was Harold McGuire from G.L.O.B.E. & Whiz Kid + London-based hip-hop sound system Mastermind from the early 80s known for mixing many of the Streetsounds Electro series of compilations. Herbie the Mastermind was the best known of the team, but future radio DJs Dave VJ and Max LX were also key members. [read more...]
