
Ernestine 'Tiny' Davis was a trumpet player and vocalist, especially popular during the 1940s. She was part of the 'International Sweethearts of Rhythm', an all-women-band who played during and shortly after the Second World War at the greatest and popular theatres in both the US and Europe. They even did shows in the Deep South of the US, though they were musicians of different skin colour playing and living together.
