1° The Sands was a Belgian pop/rock band consisting of Guy Van Nueten (organ, percussion, piano), Michel Vanderhaeghen (guitar & vocals) and other musicians. Their debut album released in 1995 was produced by Bill Janovitz (known from the American band Buffalo Tom). They released an EP in 1996 and even had a radio hit with "April & June" on alternative radio station Studio Brussel.
