Winnipeg garage combo the Quid (so named in honor of slang for the British pound note) formed in 1964, originally comprising lead vocalist Ron Rene, lead guitarist Bill Pavlik, rhythm guitarist Colin Palmer, bassist Morley Nickles, and drummer Al Johnson.
