Artist Info: The Flame

There are five artists with this name:

(1) The Flame were a South African soul-rock band with a heavy Beatles influence in the early 1970s, based around drummer Ricky Fataar and guitarist Blondie Chaplin. Their eponymous album was produced by Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys, who invited Fataar & Chaplin to join that band on the temporary departure of Bruce Johnston. They played, wrote and sang on three Beach Boys albums (Carl & The Passions (So Tough), Holland and In Concert) before leaving the band. [read more...]
